I have been wearing Tevas since the mid 90s. I bought these about 15 months ago. I live in Canada so I only wear them half the year. I love how comfortable they are but last week one of the rear straps that attaches to the sole detached from the sole. Previous Tevas lasted for years. I'm very disappointed they didn't make it past 2 seasons of use.
Strap has pulled away from the footbed, similar to other reviews. Purchased in August 2023 so they didn’t even last 1 year. I wear them once a week, maybe twice at most in summer only, and use for loading my boat in the water. These are expensive sandals and should be much more durable
I bought these sandals to walk the dog on warm ,dry days and to wear when I'm in and out of the water boat fishing in the summer. In less than one year of this light use, the rear strap pulled free of the footbed. Most negative reviews highlight this same flaw. Apparently Teva is going to warranty them for me, but they have had these complaints for years and it continues. Makes me wonder if I should just go with another brand.
I found these sandals quite comfortable on the foot and quite nice as a camp shoe after a hike. They seemed overbuilt for what I used them for however, I turned out to be incorrect.
I purchased these and after about a year of use (seasonally of course, stored them over fall and winter) one of the straps came out of the sole during a regular walk. It didn’t take a trip or anything, I simply thought they were loose from walking. Once I discovered the strap was pulled up I was very disappointed.
For the price I would expect this not to happen, I have an old pair of Nike slides for a quarter of the price which have lasted everything I’ve put them through for years at a fraction of the price. Maybe I got a lemon pair or something along those lines? For the price I had much higher expectations of longevity.
Would have left one star but I must admit I loved them until they broke.
Bought my first pair of Teva’s way back in 96 -Perth Australia. Great sandal then, great sandal now.
I’ve had my last pair for a few years now & ZERO problem with the strapping.
I don’t care for flip-flops (Brit’s call em thongs🤣) & if i suddenly need to run, these do the trick.
